Commercial Flagpoles

There are various Commercial Flagpoles made in the U.S.A with Limited Lifetime Warranties offerings on the flagpole poles.

Commercial Flagpoles

The two basic categories of flagpoles are

  • External Halyard (rope is outside of the flagpole, tied off to a cleat) — Their ropes are made of diamond-braided polyester.
  • Internal Halyard flagpoles (rope or stainless steel line is inside the flagpole, the flag is raised or lowered with a winch or by hand and secured with a cam cleat). — You may find it in either wired polyester rope or stainless steel. They are a bunch of expensive lot as they have a cleaner look and come with added security.

Both styles are ideal; it only depends on getting the flag to come down to preference and funding.

Commercial flagpoles and parts

Clear anodized & satin finish: The flagpole is a satin-finished aluminum pole making it more durable.

Snaps: Snap hooks connect the halyard to the flag’s grommets. You can find them in nylon or zinc finishing.

Cleat: You find them in external halyard flagpoles as they work as a hook-type fastener on a flagpole’s side. Place them directly to a flagpole, a wall, or a sturdy place.

Nautical flagpole: In this flagpole, you can find yardarms and gaff.

Yardarm: It is a horizontally mounted, tapered pole attached to a vertical flagpole found in nautical applications.

Gaff: A rig is used on nautical flagpoles that advance from the flagpole and rise at an angle representing a ship’s mast.

Butt diameter: The width of the flagpole’s bottom helps the user decide if he should buy a flash collar or a shoe base.

Flash collar: It is an embellishing ring that runs on the ground, dividing the revealed and unexposed areas of the pole.

Shoe base: It gives an alternative mounting option to a flash collar that usually contains a set of anchoring bolts affixed to a slab of concrete.

Sectional flagpoles: They are not recommended for high-wind areas but can be dispersed to control damage to the flagpole and encompassing area.

Telescoping flagpoles: These come with a feature of quickly being shortened in case of turbulent weather times. Also, these make them a reasonable option for high-wind areas.

What are the six Texas flags?

The Texas Flag popularization goes back to the 1936 Centennial Celebration. Six Texas Flags display, the Centennial’s dual theme of history are some of the Texas myths that continue today.

The centennial year marks the commencement of the six flags Texas’s visual identity and gradually installed in the State of Texas Building.

In The Bullock Museum, we can learn about the nation’s story that each of the six flags of Texas represents to express the rich and complicated history of the Lone Star State.

Spain, 1519–1685 and 1690–1821 — One can find Texas at the northernmost tip of Spain’s North American. During its occupation of North America, the country had four vital flags- The Royal Banner of Castile and León, with two lions and two castles on a red and white background.

France, 1685–1690

La Salle’s wanted to have a colony at the entrance of the Mississippi River. At the time of his campaign along the Texas coast, the Flag’s country had a white background overlaid by fleurs-de-lys, a simplified version of the French royal Flag.

Mexico, 1821–1836

Mexico got free from Spanish colonial rule and adopted its first republican Flag. It had vertical green, white, and red stripes signifying the “Three Guarantees” — religion, independence, and Union. It also shows Mexico’s Aztec heritage, as we can see an eagle with a serpent in its mouth standing on a cactus.

The Republic of Texas, 1836–1845

The Republic of Texas emerged as an unruly frontier nation with its nine-year historical story. Blood red, azure blue, and white, three official flags represent bravery, loyalty, and purity. Later it was specified that the red and blue colors should be the same as those of the U.S. flag.

The Confederate States of America, 1861–1865

Texas joined with other slaveholding states in withdrawing from the Union in 1860 and formed the Confederate States of America. It had three flag designs representing the government of the Confederate States of America — “Stars and Bars,” having two large red horizontal stripes -large white stripe and a blue canton. For some, the Flag represents a history of enslavement, repression, & patriotic heritage to others.

The United States of America, Year — “1845–1861” & “1865-present”

The United States’s 28th state was Texas, and when 28-Star Flag became official, it was utilized for only one year. Now it has a 50-Star in the Flag & is most commonly used in modern displays of the Six Flags.

Titan Telescoping Flagpole Installation Instructions

The Titan telescoping flagpole manufactured in the US is one of the finest flags, made of nylon, and comes up in a kit. It comes with a telescoping flagpole, an effectively sized flag, hardware to fly two flags, a ball topper, and a ground sleeve.

Titan Telescoping Flagpole Installation Instructions

And you can find the below steps to install a flagpole

Step #1

Follow instructions completely. Choose the location for your flagpole and be sure that there are no impediments, utilities or power lines lower than the surface or overhead.

Step #2: Dig a circular “Fence Post Size” hole, 16” in length and 30” deep. A longer hole may be mandatory for smooth or sandy soil

Step #3: For sure that hole is at least the size confirmed in the previous step. Now shovel in 5”-7” of gravel into the end of the hole. This will give water drainage.

Step #4: Set up the stop bolt completely through the pre-drilled hole in the ground sleeve. Hand tightens only. Mix the concrete material according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Step #5: Push the sleeve “into” the gravel while doing sure that the floor sleeve is at least 1” above ground-level. If you go wrong to push the sleeve into the gravel, it will allow the concrete to close the hole and avoid water drainage.

Step #6: Utilize your “red cap” to protect the ground sleeve. Start to shovel the concrete into the hole around the ground sleeve being prudent not to spoil the sleeve position.

Step #7: Take-off the red cap to check the sleeve for plumb with a level in multiple places. Install the red cap into the sleeve to avoid foreign objects from entering sleeve.

Step #8: Later 24 hours of drying time, remove the red cap, replace your flagpole into the hole.
